Lifestyle of Our Kids program (LOOK)

Lifestyle of Our Kids (LOOK) is a community-based longitudinal study initiated in Australia investigating the impact of early physical activity on health outcomes in children and adolescents.

Health information and blood samples are collected from healthy children at ages 8, 10, and 12 years.

Samples from a cohort of 852 children were used to establish age- and sex-specific pediatric reference intervals for 37 different chemistry and immunoassay parameters. In a subsequent study, the LOOK team established age- and sex-specific reference intervals for NT-proBNP based on samples collected from 854 healthy school children.
